“I really enjoyed my J-Term study tour to Peru, which expanded my global perspective, taught me about the impact of tourism, and was certainly the trip of a lifetime. It was truly awesome to get to take a trip with two of my favorite professors and see new parts of the world, all while getting class credit.”

“I am the Student Government speaker of the senate, Model United Nations conference operations chair, BridgeUSA At Carthage founder and president, and Youth Empowered In The Struggle treasurer. I enjoy advocating for improvements around campus and in campus policy in Student Government, and I am especially excited to go to Barcelona with Model UN this spring.”

“The summer after my freshman year, I was a fellow at A Starting Point, an online media company. I did non-biased research and writing for videos that were viewed by hundreds of thousands of young people. I also got to plan an online event attended by thousands nationally in which Chris Evans interviewed two congresspeople. This internship taught me a lot about the way political media will look in the future and allowed me to put a lot of what I’ve learned in the classroom into real-world practice.”

“I think students should strongly consider majoring in something interdisciplinary because it opens many doors. Majoring in International Political Economy (IPE) has allowed me to learn about political science, international business, and economics all within one major. I advise students to consider the number of career paths their major can lead to; IPE provides a pathway to many promising jobs.”
